  7. This is BootController Version 1.2 - written on 26th October 1994
  8.  
  9. This version supercedes the version currently posted and I ask this to be 
  10. removed as it could be awkward having two versions available.

  12.         The new features of BootController1.2 are :
  13.  
  14.         * Password verification when changing password.
  15.         * User files for easier registration.
  16.  
  17. All registrations will assume that 1.2 is being used though I will send out
  18. copies of the latest version if requested.

  20. General overview
  21. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  23. BootController is a password protection program for hard drive users. It is
  24. very simple and yet effective. The user can protect their system with a
  25. 20 character password and have to option to lock/unlock the system without
  26. having to remove the password or program from the system and also to
  27. prevent write-access to hard drive partitions.
  28. Registering allows 3 new options, Vector Checking, Last Alert display and a
  29. Failed Attempts Log file.
